How would I find out about model home decorators and where they buy all of their bedspreads, etc?
Everyone loves how a model home looks but I would like to be able to buy many of the same things - pillows/bedspreads, etc. etc. All bedspreads look customize made. Are they? Is there a place that sells to model home decorators?
I am really looking to buy NEW . . . not model home existing items. I am looking for the source of where model home decorators buy their bed coverings, pillows, etc. It just doesn't seem like they buy them at the places you and I have access to.

CQ:  I have wondered that myself, but I would start by asking the developer's sales office. They should at least be able to refer you to someone in their company who would know.

Anyway, I Googled it and this is what I got:

hummingbird:  do you mean model home or modular? But if you mean model homes you can go to
www.idmsolutions.com
and if you mean modular home just ask the dealership.
good luck.

rustttttt:  It looks like IDM Solutions provides the service. I would like to find out where they (IDM) and other model decorators buy their items. It doesn't seem like they shop at the same places you or I do. I think all of the furnishings are "cut down" in size so the rooms appear larger. I'm mainly interested in buying different kinds of bedspreads instead of from the normal Penneys, Bed, Bath and Beyond, etc.

Miss M:  Easy! I work with model homes and typically they are decorated at the last minute. Ask the Realtor who is showing the house. Often times they will sell it to you once the model has been sold.

pretty_brown_eyes:  I went to a model home auction last week and bought tons of stuff. I only spent $dollars for sofa and coffee table, curtains, lamps, dining room set, pillows and a few pictures. Ask the agen showing the house. They can give you information and also let you know when to come back for their auction.
