when i use the Dyson Animal on my area rugs, on the carpet setting, it makes loud noises, is this normal?
when i use the Dyson Animal on my area rugs, on the carpet setting, it makes loud noises, is this normal?
or should i use the bare floor setting on my area rugs?

jordan c: The Animal is not as loud as our Hoover was. It is bearable, until you get the fringe of the oriental rugs in it! It makes a horribly loud noise when the fringe is being vacuumed.

jrgaskin: make sure there is nothing in the brush compartment. i once had a nail in mine and everytime I used it, it had a horrible noise. Figured out what it was, and have never heard it again.

marebear803: I know what your talking about. I just bought the animal last week. and it seems when I switch surfaces it makes a loud noise. Its just for a second but it scares the crap out of me. I think its because its not leveled before we continue onto another floor surface..cause if you go slow after coming off the rug it seems to not do it for me..Hope I could help..
