model home decorators?

model home decorators?
Do you need a real estate (or other type) license to decorate model homes? Is there a course or school for model home decorators? Where would you begin if you were interested in doing this for a living?

i would suggest approaching a home builder and offering your services for a model home. tell them you will do X amount of the design work for free( minus materials) because you are establishing your portfolio. they are probably going to want something to show that you have some degree of decorating ability so be prepared with some pics or references.
then start your portfolio! you will have to sell yourself to home builders at first...but do alot of it for nothing or next to nothing at the very beginning until you have thier respect and trust. if you have that...you have it made!( providing the building market is strong in your area.)
decorating model homes would be a great start! and if approached correctly...could certainly expand into other markets for you!
the very best of luck!
