Anyone own a Kirby Sweeper? Your opinions on how good it is?
Anyone own a Kirby Sweeper? Your opinions on how good it is?
I have researched and researched and bought 3 vacuum cleansers over the past 6 months. From Kenmore canister vac to Dirt Devil Cyclonic Upright. I have all hardwood floors in my home w/ one room being linoleum and only 2 large area rugs. All the vacuums I bought just threw the dirt out the back. Well, I stopped at my parents home tonight, and low and behold there was a Kirby salesman there. After a complete demonstration of what all it could do...I bought it (ouch it was $2,000!) I think I am nuts. It has the hardwood floor attachment and the shampooer attachment and has a lifetime warranty. Ok, now my question is this: Do any of you guys own a Kirby Sentria, and if so, do you like how it works and have any reviews you can give me? Thanks!!
Answers:
Cymbaline's Journey: No, sorry, I don't own a Kirby, but my parents had one for over 30 yrs and they recently traded it in for an upgraded version. They like how it works for them.
Me personally? I bought a Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner in 1983 for $850. 2 yrs ago I traded it in for a new model for an additional cost of $1200.
I like the Rainbow much better than the Kirby because the Rainbow has a water filtration system. All dirt, dust and debris is trapped in the bowl of water. Nothing ever gets blown out the back, you just have to empty the bowl of dirty water when you are done using it.
To me the Rainbow is the Rolls Royce of vacuum cleaners and the Kirby is the Cadillac.
