Which is a better form of in-floor heating, Electrical grids or mats?
The floor is at ground level, insulated to R 22 with a sub-floor above. The flooring finish is going to be tile and is for a Sunroom.

jdinkorea: Being in Korea I can answer that one. Its called Ondol heating. Tubes or pipes of hot water are run under the floor, but you should make certain that only filtered water is used so as not to slowly silt up.

normobrian: Electrical heating is very expensive to operate. Hot water is cheaper.

Woody: Menards has a product called "warm tiles" They are a grid of electric wires that heat tiles. They also make special tiles just for this product. cost an average of 1 cent a sqaure foot to run a day.
