How do you check for leaks in a radiant floor heating system?
My gas bill has gone up and I can't figure out why, except that the heated water is going somewhere. We don't have a basement and I don't see or smell any sign of water.

Kurtis G: Drain the system, pressurise with air. (about 25psi.) If the system holds pressure for an hour or more, there's no leak. If there is a leak, you can usually find it from the hiss of escaping air. If not, a dye may be added to help locate the leak.

Chris: The best way to check is use air pressure, drain the heating systems out and fill with air put a air valve in 30psi. Leave it for 24 hours. That is how plumber check for gas leak and water leaks. Come back and check if the air is less 30 psi. then you have a leak in the line. if the pressure holds. then the system is fine. If the problems not go aways. You have to heir a heating people to check the units and lines.
