i am trying to redo my living room?
i was thinking of the colors red, white and black.
like having the curtains red.
and i was going to make sum throw pillows
and blah blah blah....
but my question is ...so far as the black and white i wanted to use like a zebra print sumwhea in there ..maybe like the ties for the curtains, or one or 2 throw pillows like that ...or just get a realli nice area rug thats a zebra print?
so can u picture it ?
or should i just forget the zebra print all together?

imabigtimebitch: I seen that color group on some show on hgtv only they made an Ottoman in the zebra and it turned out really good. Do you have a black couch? If so I would add a few red and zebra pillows on there also. Hope I helped. good luck

Voodoo: You can use the zebra print, sure ... just don't go overboard with it!
I (personally) think every room should have an animal-print, just because it's fun! OK, that's just me.
Red, white and black is a classic color-scheme that can be as classy, timeless, and elegant ... or as funky and fun as you want it be.
If you go with something as large as a rug with the zebra print, that's a pretty big statement (and it's what I would do!), so, rather than adding more zebra, you can still add more black/white elements (stripes on throw-pillows, black and white photos or artwork, etc.) to keep the look cohesive.
You might want to have a look at the website I'm about to suggest ... it is geared toward teenage girls and is mostly about bedding, but it features lots of animal prints. Even though you're doing a living room (not a bedroom), it might give you some ideas for ways to use animal prints (and it's just kinda a fun site anyway!):

Nette on the Bayou: I would use the zebra print, but not on the curtains. Get a rug, or maybe a couple of pillows or a throw. If you have a bench or something you can cover, do it with zebra. And if you have a place to put a zebra statue, like about 12 inches, it would be cute. Like on top of an armoire or a corner table. Use big red candles on a shelf or a sconce. Good luck, it sounds really pretty.
