mixing styles with rugs?
I had purchased an offwhite area rug and want to put a 3x5 area over it in front of coffee table (high traffic area). The room is more of a country type feel decor-wise. Will an oriental pattern rug (burgundy, ivory, beige navy etc be a workble choice? There is a distressed turquoise hutch that I love. Maybe more of a rust /beige rug would be better? I am not sure of the one with nacy in the border...thanks!!

JeanneS: if the room is more of a Country style feel than you will need to look for something in that style, Oriental will not go well with the decor , I will try to find some ideas

SueyN: Sorry to disagree with Jeanne, but an oriental rug would look great with what you have described. Oriental rugs are mixed with all types of furniture styles.
