inspector4homes:  We have had all types of vacuums. Kirby, dirt devil, hoover, etc. The Kirby which cost well over $1000 did not do well. We decided to buy a Dyson which surprising did great. My children have allergies and we have to have something that does a good job of getting the dust and whatnot out of our house. I would recommend spending the money and buying a Dyson. Try it out and if you don't like it, return it. Target has a great return policy. Good luck!

She said it was recommended by a leading consumer magazine and rated right up there with higher priced vacuums. It was priced around 150.00 and really cleans carpets and bare floors with the flick of a switch.
