Desperate!!!!Doggie pee pee issues!?
Ok, needless to say my puppy has had some accidents on an area rug of mine, hes a puppy I sorta expected that. Also, the area under the pee-pee pads stinks to high heaven! I have the heat on in my house and of course that isn't helping my problem at all. I was wondering if I got some of the Natures Miracle and saturated, I mean saturated those surfaces then used just the suction on my carpet cleaner if anyone thinks I stand a chance at my home smelling normal again? I am in a townhouse so replacing carpet is not an option. Please help, I can't stand the stench!
I have pee pee pads down, for some reason the area under them keeps getting wet with urine hence the smell...maybe I bought the wrong brand.

I take him out hourly at least, and he is getting better, alot better

I have steam cleaned the carpets three times and used Febreeze

Lovebug <3:  lay puppy training pads on the floor so ur dog can train there or go outside with ur dog so ur dog can do its business. and there's a cleaning thing for ur floors so ur dog doesnt pee/poo on that same spot again. i forgot the name but ask ur vet.

Delaney D:  I guess you should take your dog out as much as you can (on the leash) so there isn't any more accidents! For the smell, you could try to steam clean the carpet!

Bob:  Read some books on raising and training dogs, or watch some videos available at your public library. Also, watch TV show, "The Dog Whisperer," with Cesar Millan, on the National Geographic Channel; or "It's Me or the Dog," with Victoria Stillwell, on Animal Planet. Both programs are excellent and often deal with issues you raise here.

Bonnie L:  Train the dog to go outside. Piddle pads just teach the dog to go in the house. Get a professional rug cleaner in to clean your rugs. Crate the pup when you can't watch it.

there_she.goes:  Definitely use an enzymatic cleaner like Nature's Miracle. Don't suck it up right away, you want it to get deep down to the carpet padding. Just soak the spots and let dry naturally. Also put some plastic down under where the pee pads go, then maybe some cardboard for back up.

Crys:  well I would rent a carpet cleaner, or buy one, they have some for small spots that are only about $50 - $80. They work wonders! I had a dog that at 18 years old forgot how to use the doggy door and would go to the bathroom only in the living room, that was the only thing that got rid of the smell. I would also move the puppy pads to a place where there's tile instead of carpet, that way the smell won't get trapped in the fabric! =) good luck
