cost of getting your oriental rug cleaned?
We have a 5x8 oriental rug that needs cleaning.
i've looked online and i know it might be hard to get a quote but
does anyone have any experience in this department?
like, how much should it end up costing???
it has a deep and wide pee mark from my basset and a soda "stain" in the opposite corner.
also... i am in the CENTRAL NEW JERSEY area.
if anyone has any prices and places to suggest, i'd totally appreciate it !
i don't want to go about this myself.. i want a professional to do it.
just want to add.... yes, it's a silk rug. hand woven.
oh, and the "stains" are not visual. they are soaked in and smelly, except i cleaned them the best i can but want it professionally cleaned, of course

Jahann and Sons Persian Rugs:  A standard cleaning generally costs roughly $2-$3 per square foot depending on your area. Soda and urine are both stains that may not come out with a standard cleaning, and they may require some dye work to get the stains out, however in most cases, you cannot get an estimate on dye work until the rug has been cleaned because you never know, those stains might just come out! Dye work on stains can run $25-100 depending on the sizes of the stain and color of your rug. If your rug has a significant odor, you may be looking at as much as $3-4 per square foot for cleaning, as some rug cleaners have a different soaking process that is done to rugs with animal odors. The prices I've quoted you are for rugs made of wool. Silk is a different ball game, so if that is what you have, I'd definitely call around. I hope the information is helpful. Best of luck!
