Can I use steam cleaning on my rug?
I bought an expensive new rug, on the tag it says professional cleaning only, could I still use my vacuum/steam cleaning vacuum?

tipster: I WOULD TEST A SMALL AREA WITH IT FIRST i believe cleaners use chemicals more than steam, but my brother has a carpet cleaning buisiness, and he uses steam extraction on carpet & sofas!

To protect themselves, companies put extreme warnings on products hoping that an intelligent, caring individual, like yourself, will bother to read some of the instructions, however extreme, and put the product in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing - the professionals.
