Are there helpful resources for installing in-floor heating?
Im looking to install radiant heat in the floors of my basement and possibly a few bathrooms, but im wondering if there are any good resources to help in the process.
Answers:
: I have a local company who has done some in-floor radiant heat installation in the past, and i know that they also offer a lot of product and help to people who are doing it themselves. They even offer different levels of "do it yourself" kits so you can decide exactly how much of it you would like to do, or if youd like help with any of it. These guys are in the Seattle area and do an awesome job, and their website has some good resources: Janes Company

Professional remodeler: Honestly, the absolute best resource for info when buying home improvement specialty items is the manufacturer or distributor of the product. The reason is, with the economy the way it is, they want to make a sale. So, figure out what brand of in-floor heating you want to install and call their customer service department. I will almost guarantee you that they will be so helpful, it will astound you.
Good luck.
