What is the equivilent of floor heating in commercial aircraft.?

How to control the temperature on under floor heating?

What is the most cost efficient way to run in floor heating?
I have in floor heating (I believe it is electric) and am wondering what the most cost efficient way to run it would be? The entire house is controlled by one (programmable) thermostat. Or should I set it at a temp (65-67*) and leave it on at all times? Also, are there times of day that electricity is cheaper?
:I found with radient heat the best way to go is to find a "nice" temperature and leave it be. Unlike forced air, RH doesn't change indoor temperatures quickly. It is more cost effective to keep the room at a static temp. It always costs more to heat up than to maintain.

Does radiant hydronic in floor heating require mixing valves?
