How would I find out about model home decorators and where they buy all of their bedspreads, etc?
Everyone loves how a model home looks but I would like to be able to buy many of the same things - pillows/bedspreads, etc. etc. All bedspreads look customize made. Are they? Is there a place that sells to model home decorators?
I am really looking to buy NEW . . . not model home existing items. I am looking for the source of where model home decorators buy their bed coverings, pillows, etc. It just doesn't seem like they buy them at the places you and I have access to.

OK all you creative exterior home decorators, I have a challenge for you?
We have a home with 3 - 90x90 mm steel support poles, we have rendered and modernised the whole house front but are now left with these ugly poles. The longest is 4mtrs followed by two 3mtrs, they are in a main traffic area to the front entrance so we have ruled out anything soft such as hebel. Are the Vanities on Home Decorator's outlet website, costructed from high quality finished wood that is both solid and scratch resistant? I recently bought a solid wood console table online that turned out to have no drawer tracks, thin wood panels and stained finish that constantly nicks up. Are the vanities at least standard Home Depot quality?

Am I the only one that finds home decorators on HGTV terrible?
I watch these "pros" go into peoples homes and redecorate it and it's always the same stuff. They add bamboo. Why is it always bamboo? They add palm trees or leaves from palm trees, more bambo, some "funky" green colors, and maybe some oriental stuff. Then "bam" it's all finished and they claim it's beautiful. Personally, I'm not into bamboo or palm trees. I live in jersey. Am I the only one that finds these decorators terrible?

I am moving in to a new apartment and need to decorate my room (that is the only thing I will be renting). I am moving in on November 1st but need to paint and decorate the room before I move in. I have no idea what color to paint the walls and unsure of the color of furniture I will buy. I have some pictures of the room. My mom is ready to paint. Her living room is small and square. She has 2 windows facing northing in her living room and one window on the west wall. Are home Decorators crazy lately?
I have been watching some HGTV lately, getting some ideas for updating my apartment and I have notice a couple of things.
Why are:
1. Designers allergic to the natural brick color - I notice this when every one of them wants to either paint over it, or cover it with something.
2. Designers thinking everyone likes glass tile back-splashes on the sink - again... more doing it than not, and it does NOT look good.
3. Designers wanting to use granite counte

Hello everyone. I like the look of wall mounted TV's, and I have a 50" plasma. However, I'm not sure if it would look right in my living room and if I have the right type of fireplace, since it has that molding above it. TV Tech 1:You really do NOT have room for the electronics on either side of the fireplace....that kills the whole idea of placing your plasma over the fireplace. And remoting your electronics, and using a remote IR blaster would be VERY difficult to do, even if you are above a basement.

Why do interior decorators hate ceiling fans?
Everytime I watch any home decorating or remodeling show on tv the decorators go after ceiling fans with extreme predjudice. I rarely see them replace a tacky ceiling fan with a more elegant one, despite the fact there are countless styles available. They prefer to just do away with them all together. What's up with this? Why decorators hate ceiling fans so much? What if you really need and prefer the air circulation?
